What Your Email Address Says About Your Computer Skills

The Oatmeal published this comic not too long ago, and while I’m late in writing an article about it, this graphic is still true today.

As much as we like to pretend that we aren’t all email snobs, many if us are (including me). In many instances, your first impression can be your last and emailing anyone in a professional setting from an @verizon.net email address is considered email suicide.

So in order to do my part, I just finished a two-part tutorial series on “How to Configure Your @domain.com to Use Gmail”. I will show you two basic options to bring your email up to speed.  Stay Tuned!

BTW- I know a few people that still use AOL…it KILLS me!

Ouch, what a prejustice! I’m using yahoo-mail, so I type in CAPSLOCK and forward spam…
You’re wrong: I have a domain, but travel a lot in remote countries, so I only use online mail for easier access. I don’t use gmail because I don’t want to let Google know more about myself as they do already, I don’t use hotmail, because the same applies to Microsoft, and I consider hotmail to be the home of all spam. Yahoo email has been there for us since late 1999, always, up, no serious limitation on storage, and it’s plain easy.
I’s say who comes up with stupid statements like the above, only to fill their blog pages, should be reported to Google for blog spam!
